Precision Finding is the feature that makes the AirTag 2nd generation genuinely exceptional for close-range item recovery. When your AirTag is nearby, your iPhone combines data from its camera, accelerometer and gyroscope with the Ultra Wideband signal from the AirTag to display exact distance — measured in feet or metres — and a directional arrow on screen that guides you straight to it with remarkable accuracy. Only you can see the location of your AirTag — your location history is never stored on the AirTag itself, and every relay of its location through the Find My network is anonymous and encrypted at every step.
