The Elit NUTRIFRY AF4000 is a 4-litre hot-air fryer using rapid hot-air circulation at 1,350W to cook food with up to 80% less fat than conventional oil frying — the same crisp result achieved not by submerging food in oil but by moving superheated air at high speed around the food surface, transferring heat fast enough and evenly enough to achieve the Maillard browning reaction (the process that produces the crisp golden exterior associated with fried food) without the oil that carries fat into the food in deep frying.

The 4-litre capacity basket is sized for family portions: sufficient for a full serving of chicken pieces, a batch of chips, or a prepared meal component that can be cooked in a single cycle without splitting into multiple smaller batches. The temperature range of 80°C to 220°C covers everything from gentle warming and dehydrating at the lower end (below 100°C for keeping cooked food warm, or low-temperature drying of fruit and vegetables) through roasting and grilling at the mid-range (140–180°C for chicken, fish and vegetables) to the maximum 220°C for achieving crunchy exteriors on chips, breaded items and other high-temperature applications. The 60-minute timer with end signal provides cycle timing with an audible alert when cooking is complete and the unit shuts off, removing the need to monitor the cycle manually.

The 8 automatic preset programs are pre-set time and temperature combinations mapped to common food types — selected via the touch control panel, each preset applies its stored temperature and time without requiring the user to enter values manually. The shake reminder function alerts the user mid-cycle to turn or shake the contents of the basket, which distributes the food for even hot-air exposure on all sides — particularly important for chips, nuggets and other small-piece foods where items resting against each other block airflow on contact surfaces. The viewing window on the basket or drawer allows cooking progress to be checked without opening the unit and interrupting the cooking cycle.
